Vista
- Left-click the Windows logo at the lower left corner of the screen.
- Left-click "Control Panel." (This opens up a new
window.)
- Double-click "Network and Sharing Center." (This
opens up a new window.)
- At the upper-left portion of the Network and Sharing Center window,
find and left-click "Manage Network Connections."
- The system will prompt you to verify that you had initiated that
request. Click "Yes."
- Right-click "Local Area Connection." (This opens
up a small drop menu.)
- Left-click "Properties." (This opens up a new window.)
- Within the center of the Local Area Connection window, you will
see a small scroll box with checkboxes on its left and a scroll bar
on its right.
Scroll down to "Internet Protocol TCP/IPv4"
and left-click that line to highlight it.
- With "Internet Protocol TCP/IPv4" highlighted, left-click
"Properties" immediately below the scroll box. (This opens
up a new window.)
- Do not modify any settings in the top half of the Properties
window regarding IP addressing.
Instead, click the button in the
lower half of this window next to "Use the following DNS server
addresses."
- Within the boxes below this button, enter the following:
Primary
DNS: 206.168.44.12
Alternate DNS: 156.154.70.7
- Click "OK" to close the Properties window, then "OK"
again to close the Local Area Connection window.
You may now close any additional windows. Start up
a Web browser and ensure that Web pages load properly!
