Changing DNS Settings - Windows

- Left-click "Start" at the lower left corner of the
screen.
- Left-click "Control Panel." (A new window will
appear.)
- Double-click "Network Connections." (A new window
will appear with icons showing all of your active network connections.)
- Right-click "Local Area Connection." (This opens
up a small drop menu.)
- Click "Properties." (A third new window will appear.)
- In the center of this window, you will see a small window with checkboxes
on its left and a scroll bar on its right.
Scroll down to the
bottom of this small window until you see "Internet Protocol (TCP/IP)",
then left-click that line to highlight it.
- After highlighting "Internet Protocol (TCP/IP)", left-click
the "Properties" button right below the small window.
(This
will open another window.)
- Do not change any settings in the top half of this window (regarding
IP addressing).
Instead, click the button next to "Use the following
DNS server addresses" in the bottom half of the window.
- Within the boxes below, enter the following:
Primary DNS:
206.168.44.12
Alternate DNS: 156.154.70.7
- Click "OK" to close the window, then "OK"
again to close the connection status window.
You may now close out any additional windows. Start your
Web browser and ensure that Web pages load properly!
